Daily Practice:  1/11/2011

On today1-11-11 I am starting the Healing Quest Blog.  It seemed like the perfect day to start.  We’re excited about having another way to stay connected to our viewers.

Also today I am re-committing to my daily practice and I invite all of you to join me in that commitment not only for our own benefit but also for the good of the planet during these transitional times.

Over the years I have had the honor of meeting many spiritual teachers and healers because of my work and my own personal healing quest.  All of them including Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Hawaiian Elders, and a list too long to mention agree on one thing and that’s the importance of a daily practice.

We can visit healers and practitioners that make us feel better and bring us into alignment, which is great if we have that opportunity.   But I was reminded again recently while listening to both Carolyn Myss and the Reverend Michael Beckwith that true healing is available to all of us and it starts on the inside not the outside.

I know that’s true but I sometimes get caught up in the busyness of everyday life and the first thing to go is my own practice.   We can always find something or someone that needs our attention.  I would like to say that after all these years I always walk my talk or practice what we preach on Healing Quest but that wouldn’t be true, even though I try.

They say we teach best what we need to learn.  I look at Healing Quest as an educational show so I guess I am teaching what I need to learn.  One of the big themes of our current season is mindfulness – the practice of quieting the mind and focusing on the breath that leads us to our inner world where all healing takes place.

I invite you to join me in re-committing or staying committed to your daily practice.  Here’s a link to our story on mindfulness for your convenience.  http://www.youtube.com/user/LightbridgeMedia#p/u/9/jfn4Ux0L9WU

Wishing you all a Joyous, Abundant and Healthy 2011

  1. It's splendid that you've started blogging, Judy, and wonderful to hear from you this way. I have started a blog for my artwork - painting is very much a spiritual practice for me - and it has kept me sane in a year when I have been dealing with my mother's decline to to Alzheimer's. My love to you and Roy.
